Sherwood Schwartz

Sherwood Schwartz was an American television producer who started his career in radio in the 1940s. Not only did he create the classic television series Gilligan's Island and The Brady Bunch, he also wrote their famous theme songs.

Here's the story of a man named Sherwood
Who was busy writing scripts and tunes for Hollywood
Wherever Schwartz landed
He's is forever stranded
Would he return to this isle if he could?

Mort Reimer added:

Though best known for a famous shipwreck,
Schwartz wrote lots of other TV dreck.
His viewers he would strand
in TV’s vast wasteland.
We hope it didn’t darn him to heck.
